DR CAROL I. SULE
Geological Assessment, Coalbed Methane Desorption, Well Site Management
Dr Carol Sule is a specialist in unconventional reservoirs. Her PhD at the University of Western Australia (Perth) examined the geology and geochemistry of tight gas reservoirs in the South Perth Basin. Her Masters degree at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand dealth with coal seam gas reservoirs. Her thesis, and subsequent international publications, were the first country-wide assessment of coal seam gas properties in New Zealand. She also has acted as well-site geologist for a number of coalbed methane exploration programs. Between her MSc and PhD studies, Carol worked with Rio Tinto Exploration in Mongolia conducting field exploration activities for a number of commodities. As Senior Geologist with Arrow Energy International Ltd she conducted green field coalbed methane assessments in China and Vietnam. Later, working with GeoGAS Ltd, Carol worked on gas drainage and greenhouse gas emissions projects in Australia as well as international coalbed methane assessments (Indonesia). Carol has a passion for unconventional reservoirs in strange and exotic places.
